Mary Tavy 4

Pensilva 4

MARY Tavy found themselves struggling for a team with players both under suspension and awol — not what was needed when entertaining the current league leaders.

However, entertain they did. With the wind to their backs James Coole opened the scoring with a shot which left the away keeper no chance as he fired high into the roof of the net.

Pensilva settled and the impressive young Skews took his first of three goals to pull level. Sam Pridham nosed the home team ahead with a goal from an almost impossible angle before Alan Grylls twisted and turned before claiming the third.

The second half saw Pensilva quickly pull one back only for Grylls to net his second and Tavy's fourth and restore the two-goal advantage.

Pensilva persevered with the strong wind in their favour and an awkward bounce squeezed between the defender and crossbar to make it 4-3.

Then a cross-cum-shot which held in the wind outfoxed the home keeper and made it all square.
