THE National Trust Theatre Company is touring again this summer and coming to Cotehele House with a show that promises to be a theatrical delight for children aged 4 to 7 and their families.

Four members of the NT Theatre Company will be performing Sapling?s Song. Using mime, puppetry and dance to celebrate the wonder of nature, Sapling?s Song is an entirely new, magical musical theatre show for families and children age 4+.

Sapling?s Song is about a determined little acorn that bursts into life and embarks on a journey of excitement, danger and joy as it grows from a young sapling into a mature oak.

Animals, birds and mini-beasts make the oak their home and a group of children form a lasting bond with the tree as it becomes the focal point of their play. Then one day something happens that threatens to change all their lives. Will the children save their life-long friend? What will happen to the mysterious mini-beasts? Come and find out what lies behind the secret of Sapling!

Rebecca Vallins, trust theatre manager said: ?Our summer shows are very popular now. Mainly because they take place during the day, which is great for families, and the performances happen in such beautiful settings. But we are especially excited by Sapling?s Song. It?s a show that will really fire children?s imagination.?

Each show lasts for about an hour and will be performed outdoors at Cotehele tomorrow (Friday) at noon and 3pm and on July 31 at 5.30pm.

Advanced booking is strongly advised ? and with no fixed seating, remember to bring a rug and to dress for the weather!
