AS of this Friday, Parklands Leisure Centre will be open to use on Friday nights for just £1.

The offer includes the use of the gym, personal trainer sessions subject to availability, adult and family swims and badminton sessions, which will take place from 4pm to 6pm and 8pm to 9pm.

Jon Smith, contract manager for Parklands said: 'Fridays are typically quiet so we wanted to launch an initiative to encourage people to visit the centre. 

'We know after a long week at work the gym is often the last place people want to go on a Friday evening, but we hope the offer of £1 will entice people to come and have a workout.'
