A THOUGHT-provoking talk on how global warming may be affecting weather on Dartmoor takes place in Throwleigh Village Hall on Monday October 17.

Professor Chris Folland's talk 'Is Dartmoor Weather Changing?' will draw on his vast experience in the field.

Until recently Chris was head of the climate variability group of the Met Office Hadley Centre for Climate Change.

He has been much involved, as lead author, in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and shared the Nobel Prize awarded to the panel in 2007.

The talk starts at 8pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, entry costs £3.
