LOM 14

THERE was a fast start by both teams in this friendly with the Pottery taking an early lead. The LOM attack were shooting well enough but the Pottery defence was making vital interceptions allowing their shooters to take full advantage. The Pottery have proved to be a strong side this season but LOM were unlucky not to pick up a point.

Dynamite DAC 42,

Callington Sports Centre 15

Dynamite took the lead as a result of good defending and centre court play followed by excellent shooting. In the second quarter they took firm control, forcing a change around for Sports Centre at half-time. Sports Centre started the third quarter with good passing and making use of space, but solid defending by Dynamite ensured they ran out winners for the first time against Callington Sports Centre since both teams have been in the league.

Samworth Seven 45,

Spot On 15

SAMWORTH Seven?s all round game is second to none in this league as Spot On soon found. Samworth took an early lead. Spot On were making telling interceptions as well as grabbing loose balls quickly and continued to work hard right to the final whistle.

TWO games were played on Wednesday April 28 in division 2.

Callington Cricket Club took on Tavistock?s Rentafford in a fast and competive match. Good defensive play from both teams kept the scores close.

Final score: Callington Cricket Club 21, Rentafford 16.

Hawks Tor and Pink Ladies were matched almost goal for goal in the first half. Both teams played fast with particular good centre court play. Pink Ladies took a slight advantage in the third quarter and an even better final quarter made the score Pink Ladies 24 Hawks Tor 17.
