RESIDENTS of The Glen in Okehampton have said a fond farewell to Avril Chandler, who is hanging up her gardening gloves after 25 years.

Avril tended to The Glen’s open spaces after initially giving the flower beds a little TLC as a one-off, before being persuaded to remain as the gardener by the warden of the time. Picture by Ian Snell.
