THE KEY stage one pupils at South Tawton Primary School put on a show to impress parents last week with their play — The Christmas Recipe.

Headteacher Heather Poustie said the play demonstrated all the ingredients needed to make a 'beautiful, fun and happy Christmas'.

She said: 'We had very positive feedback from the parents, a couple sent us emails saying how fantastic it was that so much could be achieved at such a young age.

'We were very proud of the children and it was a nice way to get them ready for Christmas.'
