I WOULD like to thank your newspaper on behalf of Bere Alston Carnival Committee for printing an article a few weeks ago that led to a very encouraging number of people attending our Save Our Carnival meeting.
We are now able to go ahead with this year?s carnival and the associated events. Our carnival has the theme of ?All the fun of the Circus? and will be livening up the streets of Bere Alston on Saturday, May 3 followed by the Fun Day on Bank Holiday Monday May 5.
We hope to have our usual host of beautiful young ladies from whom to choose our carnival queen and attendants when we hold our family disco at the primary school on Saturday, April 5.
