AN EVENING of festive cheer is in store for Callington residents tomorrow (Friday) when the Christmas lights are switched on. James Martin, of Pirate FM, will flick the switch in St Mary's Close at 6pm, just after Father Christmas arrives in his sleigh. Santa will take up residence in his grotto in the town hall where he will give out free presents to children from the parish up to the age of eleven. There will also be various stalls for the whole family to enjoy. The festivities continue on Saturday morning with craft and other stalls in the town hall and various entertainment from local groups and artists.
