THE big switch on of Hatherleigh?s Christmas lights takes place next Monday (December 5) as town businesses open for late night shopping. The lights will be switched on in the Square at 7.15pm by town mayor Gary Bush. This will be followed by music from the prize winning Hatherleigh Silver Band, who will also be holding a coffee evening in the Old Schools. Children can enjoy a trip to Santa?s Grotto at the Sure Start Toy Library and the George Hotel will be hosting a craft fair full luxurious gift ideas. Shops will be opening from 6pm onwards, and later on, there will be live music at the Tally-Ho! from 8.30pm onwards. The evening is supported by Hatherleigh Town Council and Hatherleigh Business Forum.
