IT?s back to the seventies at The Wharf, Tavistock next month. For a special fancy dress party night, the audience will be invited to don their best finery, reminiscent of the magic era of 30 years ago. They can then enter a fancy dress competition to win some great prizes, including tickets for popular gigs. As part of The Wharf Party Night, Eurovision Song Contest winners, the original line-up of Brotherhood of Man, will tell The Seventies Story in their own unique way. Sandra Stevens, Martin Lee, Nicky Stevens and Lee Sheriden will take the audience back on a nostalgic musical journey, starting in 1970 with ?Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes? and ?United We Stand?. In this interactive news items are recalled to highlight various events of the decade as they influenced television, films, music and fashion. Major hits by Brotherhood of Man and other artistes are featured, including ?Angelo? and ?Figaro?, as well as disco favourites such as ?I will Survive?. Be sure to experience the Seventies? Story, with Brotherhood of Man, at The Wharf, at 8pm on July 6. Tickets will cost £10 in advance and £12 on the night. Barbecue and late bar available from 7pm.
