ON behalf of the charity 'Make A Difference', I would like to thank the Service Users Recovery Forum for the wonderful Christmas party that they held at Trident House on December 18.
All the food was paid for by SURF and was bought, prepared and served by young people from the locality. Namely Emma Garrod-Pullar, Daniel Douglas and Josie Stephenson. The party was totally arranged by the young people themselves and they even devised a quiz which certainly stumped a few of us.
They went out shopping in all that snow and were determined that the weather was not going to stop them providing a great evening. They had decided that if we couldn't get to the party, they would get sleds and deliver the food to people who live locally, alone or in residential homes.
They were amazing and to be congratulated on their caring and determined attitude. Thank you for a wonderful party from all those who attended.

I WOULD like to say a big thank you to TASS (Tavistock Area Support Services) for organising the wonderful post-Christmas break.
Three mini-buses left Tavistock recently for the Falmouth Beach Hotel, stopping en-rout at Bodmin Jail for coffee and mince-pies. We also enjoyed an afternoon in Truro at the pantomime and a meal at the Jamaica Inn on the way home.
A big thank you must also be extended to our three drivers Kevin, Bob and Niki, whose cheerful, good humour ensured we all had a really good time.
