THANKS to West Devon Borough Council for putting a waste bin at the Anderton Lane, Whitchurch, entrance to the new cycle path, and doing it so soon after it was suggested.

It will be much appreciated by dog walkers, walkers and cyclists, but especially by the people who have been picking up litter and dog poo along this route and can now enjoy a much more pleasant excursion.

It is even possible that the person(s) still leaving unbagged dog poo in the area could be persuaded by the sticker on the bin, which indicates that the penalty for doing this could be £1,000, to invest a small sum in dog waste bags and use them!
