THE Museum of Dartmoor Life would like to thank all the accommodation providers in the area who visited the Museum last Wednesday, April 30, for an introduction to our new Tourist Information Point.  It was very gratifying that so many took the time to come and explore the museum, so as to enable them to give their visitors a first hand recommendation. Of course, the inducement of a cream tea may have helped, and for that we are profoundly grateful to Waitrose for providing the cream and to Anne Russell for baking so many delicious scones. If there are any more accommodation providers among your readers, I'm sorry you've missed the cream tea, but if you would like to be listed as part of the TIP provision for visitors, please contact the Museum!  We are already seeing an increased footfall and for Okehampton, as a tourist centre, this cannot but be of help to all our local businesses in town.
