ON behalf of the Girlguiding in Tavistock, I would like to thank local residents for their kind support of our 2008 Christmas post.
Since we started offering this service in 1988 we have always worked hard to ensure the safe delivery of all cards posted in our blue boxes and carrying our special blue stamps.
This year we had eight cards with only Christian names and no addresses! We managed to deliver six, but unfortunately no-one could identify 'Ian' or 'Terry and Lesley'. If you think either of these may be for you please get in touch.
Over 7,100 cards were sorted and delivered, with over 80 of our members giving their time to help during the weekend before Christmas. It is part of our promise to help other people, and we thank everyone for giving us this opportunity to be of service to the community.
