THROUGH your columns may I thank everyone who helped make our presentation night so successful on Saturday June 10. A special thank you to Virgin Trains, First Great Western, Plymouth Cooperative Society, Morrisons, the Prince of Wales Hotel, the Plume of Feathers Inn, Princetown Breweries, Skinners Brewery, TaxiFast, the National Marine Aquarium together with all the individuals, too many to mention here, who gave so many wonderful prizes for the auction and grand draw. The total monies raised so far from both the sponsored walk and the presentation night, that was passed to Beverley Bell of CLIC/Sargent South West after the event, exceeded £14,000. With several walkers still to declare their sponsorship we are confident that we shall beat last year?s total of £15,015. The walk consisted of a two-day 30-mile walk over Dartmoor.
