THE members of Callington Town Band would like to thank the residents of Callington and surrounding district for their generosity and support throughout 2005. 2006 sees the band celebrate its 10th birthday and many concerts and other special events are planned. These will include a concert with Saltash Brass Band and Stannary Brass Band in June and a social occasion to which members of the public will be invited. It is still not too late for any experienced musician to join the band and Musical Director, Paul Boase, would be delighted to hear from you (01579 383741). The Training Band would also welcome enquiries from less experienced players of any age. Both bands meet on Thursday evenings in the Town Museum, Liskeard Road, and instruments can be provided, free of charge, to anyone who wishes to join either band.
