THE Parish Rooms, Tavistock was filled to capacity on Friday, October 31, when The Tavistock Friends Group of Children's Hospice South West held a most successful coffee morning. Thanks are extended to the generous people, locals and visitors, who attended and helped to raise the wonderful amount of £ 570.75. The group would also like to thank those people who helped to run the event. The money will be greatly received at Little Harbour, the CHSW's hospice in St Austell, where children with life-limiting conditions and their families receive much needed respite care. If you missed this coffee morning, or enjoyed the event so much that you'd like to do it again, the group have booked the Parish Rooms for a coffee morning on November, 6 2015. You can buy a 2015 diary from the CHSW shop in West Street and put the date in it straight away! Another date in which you might be interested is Thursday, March 26, 2015 when Tavistock Friends of CHSW have booked Johnny Cowling who will be performing at Tavistock Town Hall. So far we have dates for two Open Gardens in 2015 – Sunday, April 12 at Weir Quay and July 8 at Hotel Endsleigh — but there will be at least two others. Those of you who took part in the Santa Run last year in Launceston will be pleased to know that you can take part in this year's event on Sunday, December 14. This is a great fun event for ALL the family, so don't miss it this year.
