VERY strong winds tested the skills of Tavistock Golf Club ladies when playing the qualifying round for the 2007 Daily Mail foursomes. Despite a 'three club' wind Nicky and Kerry Gawman came in with a very creditable score of 39 points to win on countback from Elaine Cooper and Barbara Ham. Winners of the November medal, played in more benign conditions, were: Div 1: 1, Trudi Luke, 74 nett, on countback from Elaine Cooper. Div 2: 1, Liz Loosmore, nett 71; 2, Sue Draper, nett 75. Back to rain and mist for the November stableford —winners were: Div 1, Belinda McSherry, 32 points; Div 2, Pattie Congo, 38 points; Div 3, Margaret Burn, 30 points.
