Tavistock Thistles 10

SB Frankfort 1

THISTLES quickly got into their stride with two goals in the first five minutes from Ben Pridham and captain Ben Langton.

This woke the opposition who started to play good football and mount a serious challenge to Thistles defenders Rhys Dunford, Jack Quinn, Cadan Lowther and Matt Jefferies.

SB got their reward with a goal, and continued to apply pressure, requiring excellent saves from Phillip Snell.

As the first half progressed Tavistock?s play improved and searching passes from midfield players Ben White, James Northey, Joshua Leeson and Langton started to find the forwards. The pressure paid off twice before half-time with goals from Taylor McCormack and a second for Pridham.

The start of the second half saw Thistles move up a gear. Good moves started from defence with Dunford and Lowther pushing balls forwards, enabling the strike force to score a further six goals.

A substitution by Elliott Hoyte brought more chances. The goal tally at the end was two to McCormack and four apiece to Langton and Pridham who has scored seven in the last two matches.

This result puts Thistles through to the semi-final.

Man of the match: Joshua Leeson.
