Tavistock Town U14s 3
TAVISTOCK played controlled football on a difficult pitch. Both sides had efforts that narrowly missed until Coulston headed across to Lyle who made no mistake in hitting the back of the net.
Tavistock went further ahead as McCall picked up the loose ball following a Lyle cross to fire in from the edge of the box. Webber made a great save as Callington fought back and scored to make it 2-1. Another great save was made by Webber as Tavistock players began to lose concentration and discipline.
Playing down the slope Callington made a strong start to the second half but Tavistock counter-attacked with Lyle and Doyle firing wide. Derbyshire was sent off for retaliation to being fouled but Webber made another excellent save from the penalty kick and the ball was cleared.
Bray, who came on as substitute, crashed the ball into the net to put the game beyond Callington.
The Tavistock ten battled bravely on to win the game with full backs Johnson and Taylor providing quality in defence and Smith breaking down many Callington moves in midfield.
