THE winners of the Yelverton Golf Club ladies four ball better ball open last week were M Crouch and C Brown from Teignmouth with 37 points; second were B McSherry and G Down (Tavistock and Holsworthy) on 36 and third S Baxter and T Jones (Torquay) 36. The best Yelverton pair, awarded the Joan Foster trophy, were C Longden and P Hunter on 34.

The twos were were won by H Richards (Stover), M Preston-Jones (Yelverton) and S Fowler (East Devon)

In the ladies Stableford and Grandmother's Cup division one was won by   Diane Reardon with 34 points and runner-up was  Belinda McSherry on 34; in division two the winner was Dene Drown on 39 and runner-up  Claire Rushbrooke  on 36.

The winner of the Grandmother's Cup was Dene Drown, runner-up    Annie Hosken. The Grandmother's cup was presented in 2000 by Lynne Alderman, Trudi Luke and Shirley MacFarlane.
