TAWTON went through to the next round with good a performance against Tedburn.
Tawton started out strongly, keeping the ball and closing down Tedburn in their own half. Tawton?s closest chance fell to Darron Nicolas who made a dazzling run but sparked his 30 yard shot over the crossbar.
In the second half Tawton again came at Tedburn time and time again. It was in the 70th minute that a good ball was whipped in by Robert Board to let Ashley Arscott side-foot the keeper from eight yards.
Tawton then became in control with good one-touch passing and individual performances. All this paid off.
On the 80th minute Paul Burrows took a 25 yard free kick, but played is short to Keith Steward, who placed the ball out of the keeper?s reach and put Tawton into the next round.
