THE Little Angels tea party provided exhausted parents with a well-earned respite last Saturday week! The party, at Lamerton Village Hall, ran from midday until 4pm with free admission. The children came in fancy dress and took part in many activities, including a best dressed bear competition, face painting, a lucky dip and an egg and spoon race. For refreshments, there were ?pirate teas? for the boys and ?fairy teas? for the girls. Parents relaxed with a glass of champagne or a beer and tucked into some pasties. Children?s shops from Tavistock participated in the day. Bookstop ran a book corner with readings of exclusive new books, Fifi brought along a selection of designer clothes to sell, Kiddies Kitchen had a cookie decorating workshop and Bee Creative were there with their pottery and toys. The Early Learning Centre provided more than £300 worth of raffle prizes. Rebecca Garrett, who organised the event, said the day was a great success and offered something a little different to do on a rainy Saturday afternoon. She is hoping to run another event next year in the run up to Easter.
