THIS superb match match played on the home pitch saw Thistles give an awesome display of the skills and techniques they have learned in a few short weeks.

Great defending came from Ross Seward, playing his first full match, Ian Harvey was dominant in the air, Jack Quinn and Matthew Jefferies ensured Saltash were kept out of the game until late in the first half.

Skilful play in midfield by Ben Langton, Joshua Leeson, Ben White and James Northey, playing his first full match, enabled exciting attempts on goal resulting in successes from attackers Pridham and McCormack. Saltash tested Phillip Snell on a number of occasions producing quality saves from the experienced Thistles goalkeeper.

Thistles started the second half in a strong position, leading 3-1. Saltash started to come back into the game with a quick goal just

after the break.

This wake-up call produced impressive attacking play from all the team and a move started by Northey enabled Pridham to get his hat-trick.

Elliott Hoyte was brought on as substitute to boost the tiring midfield and shortly afterwards McCormack scored his second goal.

This week Thistles play SB Frankfort in round two of the Mayflower Cup.
