FOUR members of Tavy Rangers took up a challenge to raise money to support a goal to reduce infant mortality.
World Thinking Day, in February, was the day members of Girlguiding renewed their promise and spent time thinking of others around the world.
This year's theme was supporting the Millenium Development Goal — to reduce infant mortality by 2015. Members of all sections came together and enjoyed activities which helped raise awareness. Each unit was challenged to raise £20 to donate to the MDG fund.
Lucy Hounsell, Kate Harris, Nicola and Anna Kelly, members of Tavy Rangers, took up the challenge and undertook the planning, organising and manning of a stall on the outskirts of the pannier market.
They collected items for a tombola and to sell, which resulted in them raising £179.
