A 5-0 win for Tavy A over West Devon C lifted them to joint top of the Tavistock Snooker league for the first time ever. It was not all a walk in the park though with hard fought wins for Hoare and Stewart over Pennington and Decieco. Ryall way romped away with his frame over P Rich, with Grylls turning in a solid frame over B Williams. Woods made it five for Tavy with another high scoring game giving Shrimpton little chance, a nice 28 break was just reward for Woods along the way.
Con Z came up against a West Devon B side who are proving to be no push over's on their own patch. Despite missing John Rich West Devon set off at a brisk pace with Smith and Gilchrist giving WD a dream start taking out Symons and Friend respectively. Miss Friend, in her first ever league game, put up a stout showing but the old campaigner Gilchrist kept it together to sneak it. Jankowski then pulled one back for the Z team ousting Moule in a close black ball game. Back came WD to seal the match with R Rich edging another close encounter with Dodd. The final game went the Z teams way with McKechnie eventually beating May.
Con A v Con B was always going to be a close one. T Evans drawn against son Mark Evans. Mark with a 20 break weathered a late surge from his father to hold out for the win. Johnson for the A team enjoyed a controlled win over Ewings only for the B team to go ahead again with Andrews being grateful to an in off the black from Folley in a close black ball game. Cook restored parity for Con A with a no thrills win over Lillicrap. The decider was a comfortable win for Con A's Carruthers courtesy of a free flowing potting display over Dolan.
Con A retain joint top of the League with Tavy A with West Devon A having a game in hand.
