MORE than 70 people enjoyed an evening of fun and reminiscence at a special reunion party held in Tavistock last weekend. The event, held in the Alexander Centre, was to celebrate the 70th anniversary of The Tavonians. Group secretary Andrew Kelly said it was an ?excellent? evening. ?We had people of all ages attending, from teenagers to senior citizens, and some people who hadn?t seen each other for many years came as well ? it really was a very successful evening,? said Andrew. ?We just felt it was a good opportunity to bring together members past and present and to keep in touch with everybody.? The Tavonians are currently in rehearsals for their latest production, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, which takes to the stage in The Wharf this spring. Andrew said feedback from a recent article in the Times regarding the show had been ?excellent?. ?We had over 20 people at the auditions and have now got several new members as a result of the article,? he said.
