AS if undertaking six mammoth international treks in a year for charity wasn’t enough for one Tavistock mum, she is now also attempting a record-breaking skydive attempt.

Claire Lemasurier, a volunteer for St Luke’s Hospice, has already started a year of fundraising expeditions having just returned from trekking Machu Piccu and intends to trek Mount Elbrus, Mount Everest basecamp, Kilimanjaro, cycling from Vietnam to Cambodia and a trek to Malawi all before April 2020.

But next month, Claire has decided to up her fundraising mission to include a British record attempt for tandem skydiving.

On Saturday, June 15, Claire will attempt the record for the most tandem skydives from 15,000 feet, within one day at Dunkeswell.

Claire will have to jump a minimum of twice an hour over a 12 hour day, making this event a real test of endurance and stamina, as well as being a huge adrenaline rush every single time she makes the leap. Claire is doing all of this in aid of St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth and to raise hospice care awareness around the country.

The event is being sponsored by Skydive Buzz Ltd in Dunkeswell. Anyone is welcome to go along and cheer Claire on. There are sponsorship opportunities available, which will include a pitch space on the day of the event.
