THIS week saw Tavistock A play Plymouth Grammar School Old Boys C away. Tavistock A, who are currently top of the league with an already significant goal difference, were looking to continue their good form.

The game began positively for Tavistock after some good work in the middle from Adam Holland saw Jake Doney find some space to easily open the scoring. Holland went on to make light work of running through the opposition to create an opportunity for himself, which he duly took, making the score 2-0 to Tavistock.

Tavistock continued to put the opposition under pressure with some good movements on and off the ball, and after a long attacking stint Marcus Woods finally put the ball over the line making the half time score 3-0.

The second half saw Tavistock take a more defensive role in the game with some excellent work at the back from Bob Cowen, Dave Anning and Kevin Lethbridge. Tavistock never looked like conceding and gradually found their attacking ways again.

Strong midfield work between Chris Cowie, Phil Honey, Marcus Woods, and Adam Holland helped by Neil Kelly finally find the back board for the final time in the game.

Tavistock continue their winning streak with an outstanding 4-0 win.
