A Tavistock man has been charged with assaulting a police officer.

Rory Thomas Evans, 25 of Tavistock, is alleged to have assaulted a police constable at his home address at Deacons Green on March 11.

Indicating a plea of guilty on April 1, Evans has been remanded on unconditional bail until May 24 when he must attend Courtroom 2 of Plymouth Magistrates Court for sentence.
