Tavistock firsts men 1

Plymouth Grammar School Old Boys A 2

THIS was a frustrating game for Tavistock who dominated both halves but were unable to get the victory they so desperately deserved.

Right from the beginning the home side showed composure and great team work with some fast paced passing paying off with an early goal from Lloyd Collins giving Tavistock the lead.

Soon after, PGSOBs levelled the score with a short corner goal coming off a Tavistock defender's stick and into the net.

For the remainder of the match Tavistock pushed forwards with a vengeance and had more chances of scoring but unfortunately could not get the ball in the goal.

Shots came from all directions, including a superb reverse stick shot from Adam Holland, which was equally superbly saved by the PGSOB goalkeeper.

With only minutes to go before the end of the game, PGSOBs had a lucky break and a clean reverse stick hit surprised Tavistock defenders Ricky Bellard and Gareth George and goalie Paul Mingo, to give the victory to PGSOB.

Tavistock man of the match was Josh Cowan-Darcy who controlled the midfield throughout the game.
