ORGANISERS and wardens at this year's Tavistock carnival
will be easy to pick out as they keep the public safe,
thanks to a donation of high-visibility vests by event
sponsor George Wimpey.
The bright yellow vests were presented to members of the
Lion Club, organisers of the carnival, at George Wimpey's
new Manor Grove development.
Vests will be worn by wardens throughout the day to
ensure members of the public have a visible, friendly face
to approach with questions and queries. Janine Davey,
sales and marketing manager for George Wimpey Exeter
said: 'We are delighted to be part of the Tavistock carnival
and wanted to show our support for the community by
donating visible vests to the wardens.' George Wimpey are
sponsoring this year's carnival and we want everyone to
have a safe, enjoyable day out.'
Steve Grummit, from Tavistock Lions, said: 'The Lions
Club of Tavistock is delighted that George Wimpey are
once again sponsoring the event. The health and safety of
everybody involved in the carnival is of paramount
importance to the Lions Club and we are very grateful to
receive a number of high visibility jackets from George
Wimpey.'
