FOLLOWING the success of this year’s town relay races organised by the Tavistock Athletic Club during Carnival Week, club vice chairman and event sponsor Alistair Kinsey recently presented the Tavistock Lions’ Club with a cheque for £1,200.

Alistair said that it was great to be part of Carnival Week and that this year, over 350 runners had taken part and for the first time, electronic timing had been used.

Lions’ President Paul Blowey thanked the Athletic Club for its donation and said that the money would be used to support local good causes and charities.
