THE current achievements of Tavistock Athletic Club have been highlighted with a record number of juniors being selected to run for Devon in next week's inter-counties cross-country championships. Eleven junior members of the club will be travelling up to Nottingham to participate in this prestigious event. The talented and enthusiastic youngsters who train together with the club's middle distance squad under the guidance of Carrie Lawson and Robin Musgrave are enjoying unparalleled individual and team success in the winter series of the Brooks Westward League meetings as well as in the recently held county and South West championships. l Pictured above on a final training session with Carrie and Robin the group includes Claire Fraser and Sarah Hornby in the U13 girls' event, Sam Eaton and Ben Brown in the U13 boys' event, Rebecca Windemer in the U15 girls' event, Tom Lawson who will be competing for Somerset, Nick Champion and Matt McNamara-Waddington in the U15 boys' event, Sarah Palmer and Samantha Fraser in the U17 ladies' event and Alistair Isaacs in the U20 men's event.
