A GOOD turnout of Tavistock athletes travelled to Plymstock on Saturday to compete in the Duckponds 7k race. Adam Holland led home a field of 163 runners which included nine Tavistock athletes. Adam ran a brilliant race pacing himself for the first couple of kilometres before stretching out to win by a clear 50 seconds. Tony Symons and Chris Champion also achieved top 10 finishes with Tony winning his age category. Excellent times were achieved by a number of athletes. Results: 1st Adam Holland 23:07, 8th Tony Symons 24:53, 9th Chris Champion 25:12, 46th Kirk England 30:31, 47th Peter Bazley 30:40, 53rd Tony Shearer 31:15, 124th Rebecca Sargent 39:37, 138th Sarah Aspen 41:53, 141st Dan Bates 43:50.
