SEVERAL good causes in West Devon have signed up to receive regular funding as part of West Devon Borough Council’s SeaMoor Lotto initiative, which starts in August.

The SeaMoor Lotto is a new venture being led by West Devon and South Hams councils to provide a way for good causes to raise funds.

Among the organisations already signed up to benefit from the initiative are Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team Plymouth, Dartmoor Zoological Society, Devon Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service, K9 Search Dogs, Lifton Community Centre Limited Ready, New Tavistock Youth Café, Princetown Pavilion Youth Club, RAF Harrowbeer Interest Group, SeaMoor Lotto Community Fund and South Dartmoor Community Energy.

Tickets for SeaMoor Lotto went on sale yesterday (Wednesday) for the first public draw, which will take place on Saturday, August 4, where ticket holders will be in with the chance of winning a jackpot prize of £25,000.
