TASTY cakes proved a popular attraction at a coffee morning in Tavistock, which raised £1,150 for Operation Sunshine.

Seen holding one of the home-made Christmas cakes is the charity's new regional organiser,?Ann Tregarthen.

The annual coffee morning in Tavistock Church Centre also offered gifts, craft items and plants, all at bargain prices.

Ann told the many supporters who were there that Operation Sunshine would have sent six 40ft containers by the end of the year, but needed to raise £52,000 annually in order to send them to Africa.
