GET those toes tapping and raise money for charity by joining in with a TAPfit Fiesta next month.
The event, being organised by Hannah Holland, will take place in Tavistock Town Hall on Saturday, May 13, in aid of Devon Air Ambulance.
There will be a raffle, tombola, cakes, refreshments and the opportunity to take part in a fun TAPfit session.
TAPfit is a dance fitness class combining tap steps with cardio and strength training.
The proceeds of the event will all go to Devon Air Ambulance Trust, which provides an emergency ambulance service to help casualties in hard to reach places or those requiring immediate treatment to be transferred to hospital promptly. To maintain this service, the charity has to raise £6.5-million per year.
Hannah said: ‘You don’t have to have ever danced before — just be prepared to have fun. TAPfit is suitable for adults of all ages, routines are easy to follow and can be adapted to suit all levels of fitness. Ensure you wear trainers, plimsols or canvas shoes — tap attachments will be provided.
‘If you don’t fancy tapping, you’re more than welcome to come in, play the tombola, enter the raffle, have a drink, some cake and a natter. I would like to express sincere thanks to all of the local businesses who have generously donated a raffle prize.’
The event will run from 10am to 1pm and people are invited to pop in at their convenience.
