LOCAL charity Tamar Community Trust is holding a fundraising concert tomorrow (March 24) in The Wharf, Tavistock.

Volunteers from the Tamar Community Trust have organised the James Taylor Quartet to play in the Wharf in order to raise money for the charity.

The charity has the objectives of advancing the education of the public about the landscape, sustainable development, protection, enhancement and rehabilitation of the environment of and the history and heritage of the Tamar Valley.

Robert Plumb of the Tamar Community Trust said: ’We aim to meet these objectives mainly by doing practical tasks, such as maintaining and creating trails, building bridges, erecting signs, managing woodland.

’We hope as many people as possible are able to come along and support the concert — which I am sure will be a fantastic performance!’
