Plymouth University B 1 Tavistock Hockey Men?s B 5 TAVISTOCK maintained their unbeaten record with this good win. Wood implemented an attacking formation. Tavistock started well, with Holland outrunning the opposition?s defence and causing major problems within the D. A goal came after a good run down the right wing from Killingbeck who hit the ball hard into the D for Mackintosh to slot it into the back of the net. With continual pressure on the home side another goal soon came from Josh Cowan who doubled the score. After dominating the first half Tavistock continued to battle hard, but a rare error from their defence gave away a short corner. This led to the University pulling a goal back and Roberts was unlucky to prevent it ? he was playing in goal for the first time this season. Plymouth University got back into the game, but not for long, as Tavistock worked hard, Cooley,Mason and Downey all playing their part. Tavistock put the game out of reach of Plymouth, with a goal from Holland and two more from Mackintosh. Tavistock are currently second in the league. This Saturday is a home match at Kelly against Ashmoor at noon.
