DARTMOOR'S free Discovery Guide is now available.

Produced by Dartmoor National Park Authority and Devon County Council, the guide provides comprehensive information on bus services in the area, including Okehampton, Tavistock, Buckfastleigh, Ashburton, Princetown, Moretonhampstead and Exeter.

The 'Transmoor Link' service 82 is the scenic route from Exeter to Plymouth travelling through the heart of Dartmoor, which during summer uses a double-decker bus.

Also included in the guide is information on free guided walks and places to visit on Dartmoor by bus, together with places to stay.

The Dartmoor Sunday Rover network of buses and trains runs until September 23.

It allows unlimited use of the entire system from Bovey Tracey to Barnstaple and Totnes to Tintagel.

On Sundays the Dartmoor Railway runs from Exeter to Okehampton. This and the Tamar Valley Line link with the buses network.

The Sunday Rover costs £6 adult, £4 child, £12 family - up to five people with a maximum of two adults - and £4.50 senior citizen with Devonwide pass.

Rover ticket holders can also claim discounts on admission prices to various attractions. Dartmoor National Park Authority guided walks are also free if you show your ticket.

The Tamar Valley service operates a varied programme of events and many of these link with the Sunday Rover network.

Discovery guides and Sunday Rover leaflets are available from libraries, Post Offices and tourist information centres.
