WEST Devon Citizens Advice Bureau is holding a coffee morning and jumble sale on Saturday, August 8.

The event, which is being held at Okehampton's Charter Hall from 9am, will provide an opportunity for bargain hunters to find clothes and bric-a-brac without busting their budget.

Organiser of the event Mandy Kenyon said: 'We are well known at West Devon CAB for helping people to manage their money problems and think that a jumble sale is an important community service to offer.'

The charity which provides free, confidential, independent and impartial advice from its bases at the Ockment Centre, Okehampton, and Kingdon House, Tavistock, will use the money raised to maintain and develop the advice services it provides.

'Our bureaux are very busy at present but we are always looking to reach those people who might not have thought about using the CAB.

'We hope that when people stop by for a coffee and a bargain on August 8 they will also find out more about the services we offer and what we can do to help,' said Mandy.

Donations of quality jumble , bric-a-brac and cakes can be accepted at the bureaux from Monday, August 3.
