TAVISTOCK Swimming Club travelled east to Exmouth for a friendly pre-Speedo gala. Tavistock knew that with the home team, Kingsbridge Kingfishers and Oddicombe all ranked in the division above them, they were in for a tough competition, but the boys earned five first placings and the team gained 27 personal best times, coming third overall. Congratulations to Jordan Channon taking part at a gala for the first time with the club. First places were gained by Kris Chapman in the 11/U backstroke, Kieron Rookes in the 11/U breaststroke, Sam Campbell in the 13/U breaststroke and Tom Waddington in both the 15/U freestyle and 15/U breaststroke.
