KELLY College Swimmers have recently excelled in swimming competitions.
The competitions were the ASA National Youth and Open Swimming Championships 2009, which took place at Ponds Forge, Sheffield from July 28 to August 2.
Cameron Brodie has set two new British Age Group Records, receiving gold in both the 100 and 200m butterfly, finishing at 55.22 seconds and 2.01.28 minutes. Cameron also produced a personal best time of 53.88 in the 100m freestyle.
Matthew Henry won a silver medal in the 1500m freestyle, with a time of 15.48.50.
Louise Watkin set European and British records in the 100m breaststroke, 50m freestyle and 400m freestyle, coming just 0.17 outside the world record held by Natalie Dutoit on the 50m freestyle.
Louise also set a personal best time in the final of 200m individual medley at 2.39.
A bronze medal was won by Jan Langton, from Yelverton, in the 50m fly at 45.40, knocking two seconds off her personal best. Jan also produced personal bests in the 200m individual medley, 100m backstroke and the 50 and 100m freestyle.
Braden Wren was a semi finalist in the 200m fly at 2.07.46 and improved his 400m freestyle time by two seconds. Braden also competed well in both the 100m butterfly and the 400m individual medley.
Semi finalist, Rachael Bennett, produced her best time to make the semi final of the women's 16/17 years 200m freestyle. Another personal best for Rachael was in the 400m freestyle at 4.29.49.
Lauren Steadman improved her 200m individual medley by 15 seconds since first arriving at Kelly College. Lauren also got 4.57.30 in the 400m freestyle.
Two personal best's were gained by Sam Long in the 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle.
