FIVE members of Tavistock Swimming Club took part in the annual Swimathon to raise money for Marie Curie cancer charity.
The team consisted of James Anderson, Mike Best, Matt Edwards, Nathaniel Rookes and Gareth Williams who swam the five kilometre as a team event and succeeding in achieving the 11th fastest time nationally this year of 1 hour, 5 minutes and 25 seconds.
The team were delighted to raise £636.50 and thank their sponsors, Tavistock Swimming Club and Meadowlands for providing the venue.'
