PICTURED are eight of of nine candidates who came to Kelly College to take part in the Amateur Swimming Association Level 2 teachers? course.
They include local swimmers Peter Freedman and Paul Dunstan, swimming teachers Davina Fitzsimmons and Heidi Pullybank from Meadowlands and Jo John, who assists with the Kelly College Squad.
Other candidates came from as far away as Hull and London.
To take part in this course, the applicant has to have already achieved the Level 1 certificate, be teaching regularly and be at least 18 years old..
If you are interested in becoming a swimming teacher there will be a Level 1 course in June open to everyone over 16.
