ONCE again people lined the streets to be entertained by street performers and indulge in late-night shopping and tasty treats at the Tavistock Dickensian Evening last week.
Stilt walkers and Morris dancers paraded the streets, lined with stalls selling gifts, mulled wine and cider and fantastic food.
Lisa Waddling, who organised the evening on behalf of Tavistock BID, said: 'Dickensian is always a great night and it's made that bit more special by the businesses in Tavistock dressing up in costume and decorating their windows.
'This year a lot of businesses put in a lot of effort.
'Odds and Suds won best window with both St Luke's shops as runners up.
'The best dressed team went to Past and Present with Tavistock Pannier Market as runners up.'
Lisa expressed thanks to everyone involved in the evening and to Tavistock Town Council in particular.
