A CHOCTASTIC Chocaholic Morning held recently by the Chagford Pre School sweetened away those bitter mid-winter blues.

Visitors to the event at Endacott House enjoyed luxury hot chocolate drinks with marshmallows and cream and a mouth-watering range of chocolate cakes and biscuits.

Adding to this to provide further entertainment there was face painting ? and a prize draw with, naturally enough considering the occasion, chocolate as the prize!

Playleader Tina Thomas said: ?We wanted a fund raising event that was a bit different and would add some cheer to dark winter days.

?Chocolate is now widely recognised as having a pick-me-up effect and seemed the ideal theme.?

She said the morning was a great success and raised more than £200 for the Chagford Pre School.

?The money will go towards the redecoration and equipping of our new accommodation within the former pottery wing of Chagford School.?

Tina said that while the group had fond memories of the times in their current premises, they have seen better days.

?We are very pleased to be moving to a brighter, more modern environment for our pre-schoolers. It is an exciting time for us in more ways than one as we are also looking forward to some new team members.?

The Chagford Pre School is currently seeking to fill two posts ? a play leader and a play assistant.
