PRINCETOWN Primary School bid a sweet farewell to Lynne Dutton, who had recently celebrated working 25 years at the school.
Beginning her stint as school administrator in 1991, Mrs Dutton is one of the longest serving members of staff at the school.
Interim executive headteacher Nathan Kemp said: ‘Lynne is the heart of the school. She has been here for a very long time, working alongside four different headteachers. She is kind, compassionate and ever so patient.’
Teachers, pupils, parents and previous members of staff attended an assembly which was held in order to say goodbye and thank Mrs Dutton for the many years she had dedicated to the school.
Lynne now plans to join her husband in retirement. Mr Kemp went on to wish them both a very happy retirement and hoped they would enjoy many evenings cruising in their Mazda convertible and be kept busy training their lively but lovely new puppy.
